Internet Surveys. Do them, earn PayPal USD

You Can Do Internet Surveys for Extra Cash

I was laid off back in November 2015 from a sweet sweet job at Shaw Communications doing video on demand stuffs. I really miss my team and the work I did, and especially, the income. Not having spare money for random cheapo impulse buys, or beer, or magic beans – sucks. Enter: money for doing internet surveys.

I found this community (subreddit) that exists to help you make some extra bucks online, called Beermoney.

/r/beermoney is a community for people to discuss online money-making opportunities. You shouldn’t expect to make a living, but it’s possible to make extra cash on the side for your habits/needs.”

How It Works

One of the easier things to do is internet surveys. They’re boring and you might develop a little carpal tunnel, but, easy extra money. In addition you can also do tasks, watch videos, participate in studies, install apps, sign up for e-mail lists, that kind of stuff. Surveys can be about all sorts of topics. Are you buying a house? Did you go shopping recently? What car do you drive? What do you think of these brands? etc etc.

The one I use pays in USD (or gift cards) and is called PrizeRebel. There are many other sites like this, such as Swagbucks, but I prefer to just use this one.

Everything you do on the site earns ‘points’, which are exchanged for USD PayPal or a number of other rewards. You can even direct deposit money to your bank account.

Prize Rebel

You can also earn free points by following them over Facebook and Twitter. They post codes randomly which you can redeem on the website.

500 points = $5 USD PayPal, $5 Visa gift card, or gift cards.
1000 points = $10 USD PayPal

It’s pretty straight forward. I prefer taking my rewards in PayPal money, because they pay in USD.

Gift cards are actually discounted as well, so 399 points for a $5 CAD Starbucks card, for example. See below.

Prize Rebel

You can even exchange points directly for online gaming credit. I’ve used the Steam one a few times, during the Steam summer sale and such.

There’s also gift cards for iTunes, Facebook, Toys R Us, Esso, Cineplex, Battle.net, Skype, etc.

How Much Money I’ve Made

Here is my reward history. The more surveys you do, the more points you earn, and the more internet money you collect. My rewards are discounted because of the level my account is, which I explain below. I’ve made just over $400 USD in total since starting this. It’s not thousands of dollars, but hey $400 extra dollars (USD!!) is nice chump change to spend on things.

If you refer people, you get a bonus of what they make. The more people you refer, the more money you can make.

Prize Rebel

In addition, the more you earn, the cheaper rewards become. There are 5 account levels, and you get various bonuses for reaching each one.

  • (0 points required) Bronze: 20% referral bonus.
  • (1000 points required) Silver: 25% referral bonus .
  • (2500 points required) Gold: 25% referral bonus, automatic prize processing, 1% monthly points bonus, 1% discount on rewards.
  • (7000 points required) Platinum: 25% referral bonus, automatic prize processing, 2% monthly points bonus, 2% discount on rewards.
  • (12000 points required) Diamond: 30% referral bonus, automatic prize processing, 3% monthly bonus, 3% discount on rewards.

Here’s what it looks like to cash points out for that sweet sweet PayPal USD money.

Step 1. Pick your reward. In this case I have 3000 points, so I would like $30.00. I put it in and it tells me how many points it’s going to cost. In this case, 2910 points because of the discount.

Step 2. The points get deducted from my account and processing begins.

Step 3. ????

Step 4. Profit.

It’s automated, but takes about 10 minutes or so to process. You’ll get e-mails informing you of it.

All payments from PrizeRebel come from ‘iAngelic’, which is a lead generation and market research company.

And that’s it! I now have $30 USD in my PayPal account.

What The Surveys Look Like

This is what most surveys look like, basic Q&A regarding whatever their interest is. They’re also often multiple choice.

One thing that is annoying that I should mention, is qualifying for surveys. Sometimes you’ll need to answer a bunch of generic questions on your demographics to see if you’re a fit for the actual survey. The companies that pay people to do these surveys are often interested in certain criteria, such as age, gender, annual income, etc. If you don’t meet the qualifications, you can’t do the survey, hence all the questions.

If you aren’t qualified for a survey, don’t let it discourage you, just find another one. Like I said, it can be annoying, but it’s part of the survey life. Sometimes you can even answer like 30 questions before being disqualified. Those suuuuck. Hey, you’ve been warned!

Prize Rebel

Answer fields like this DO GET CHECKED BY A REAL PERSON so answer legitimately and honestly. If you don’t fill these out legitimately, you won’t be doing surveys for long. As well, don’t answer surveys based on what you think they want to see. Answer honestly every single time.

Do Your Internet Surveys Legitimately!

It’s important to be honest with these things. If you try and cheat the system, like using inconsistent answers about your age/income/demographics they WILL pick up on it and ban you. I did it, I got banned, I apologized and said I would never cheat again, so they let me back in.

If you refer people and they earn points, YOU get a small percentage of their earnings too, so it’s beneficial to refer friends. If you’d like to try it out without using my referral link simply go to http://www.prizerebel.com

If you don’t want to do boring internet surveys, /r/Beermoney has a number of other ways of earning, see here for more info.
