Book using the Massago App
Massago (pronounced mass-a-go, not massage-go!) is a new massage service in Calgary that’ll make life easier for a lot of people. Rather than you having to head to an office for an RMT certified massage, they simply come to you! It’s like the Uber of massage apps. They’ve existed in other parts of Canada for a while but just opened up shop here in Calgary (and Edmonton too) (but Edmonton sucks).

Massago services are available from 8 am until 10 pm – every single day of the year. You can book same day, or up to 30 days in advance.
Rates: simply $99/hr. You can book more time if required, just fill out the app. Note: If you use code DRJUG you’ll get $30 off your first massage. That’s 1 hour of massage for only $69.
Four Types of Massage Offered
Because you’re actually getting a registered massage therapist, Massago offers different types of professional massage:
- Swedish Massage for general relaxation and wellness
- Deep Tissue Massage for persistent aches and pains
- Prenatal Massage for the mom-to-be
- Sport Massage for both athletes and weekend warriors
Yes You Can Submit it to Insurance!
Once your massage is finished the therapist will give you a receipt that includes their provincial registration number, which you can send to your insurance provider. It’s the same deal as a normal professional massage, just in the comfort of your own home.
The Massago App
It’s very straight forward. You fire it up and select who the massage is for, then enter in the date/time and some other details, and that’s it. Payments are also handled through the app. You can only use a credit card at this time, which gets charged once your massage session is complete.
Massago offers a $10 discount if you book two massages back to back, and a couples massage package. In your own home!

This was the first time I’d ever had a real massage in my own home, and it went really well. Booked the time, she showed up as expected and brought a portable massage table (kind of like this one). I just moved the coffee table a bit and my massage therapist set up it up quickly. She went into another room while I took off my shirt and laid down on the table. Then I had an hour long massage in my living room. She packed it up and left. It was awesome lol
