About Ol Beautiful Brewing Co.

Located right next door to Cold Garden Beverage Company, Ol’ Beautiful has a large space with comfy seating, and a cool atmosphere. There’s lots of seating, gender neutral washrooms, and music is always playing.

Every Saturday is HIGH NOTE from 7:00 PM until close OLB does up beer cocktails, and they also bring in Kinfolk Deejays to curate music.

What is a core beer? It’s a beer that the brewery sells that it will always sell. It’s what they’re known for. Small batches come and go but core beers are eternal.

PEGASUS PALE ALE – Pale Ale – 5.5% ABV 45 IBU

A dry hopped American-style Pale Ale that showcases fresh and aromatic Simcoe, Amarillo, and Cascade hops. Expect an upfront citrus aroma and flavour, which gives way to its resinous, floral undertones. A noticeable malt sweetness adds body to the beer and brings balance the beer’s hop-forward character.

GATEKEEPER BELGIAN CHOCOLATE STOUT – Stout – 7% ABV 0 IBU

A robust stout infused with cocoa nibs and vanilla beans. The use of a Belgian Abbey yeast contributes dark stone fruit esters, while a combination of roasted and specialty malts give the beer a jet-black appearance, a tightly knit head, and layers of decadent chocolate, coffee, and caramel flavours.

OKAMI KASU – Specialty Grain – 5.7% ABV 10 IBU

A collaboration beer between Ol’ Beautiful and Shokunin (Japanese restaurant in Mission). Contains a large portion of rice, which gives it a unique, silky mouthfeel. The most noteworthy part of this beer is the inclusion of SakeKasu, the rice leftover from Sake production, which contributes a boozy, creamy, uptown funk to the beer’s finish. Another approachable easy drinker that pairs very well with Japanese cuisine.

MELODY – American IPA – 7% ABV 0 IBU

The quintessential, classic hop forward IPA that all craft beer lovers seek out. Expect flavours of grapefruit, melon, and apricot from the hops, while a subtle toffee-like sweetness from the malt supports the astringent bitterness typical of the style. This is a beer for all IPA lovers and those who cherish the beautiful qualities of hops.

BRASS MONKEY – Blonde – 4% ABV 0 IBU

Blood orange blonde.

Bells & Whistles

• Do they serve food? – Ol’ Beautiful has a selection of snacks but no kitchen. You’re welcome to bring in outside food! You can even order food in, like pizza.
• Is there a patio? – Sure is, but it’s closed during the winter.
• Can I bring my dog? – Nope.
• Kids allowed? – Yes! With a parent or guardian.
