Calgary Transit Just Dropped A Summer Patch (June 2019)

Calgary Transit Summer Route Changes

The Summer Service Changes below will come into effect on Monday, June 24, 2019. No changes to c-trains at this time.

What’s New

  • Route 128 has been added for the communities of Cornerstone and Redstone! Buses will run every 31 minutes during weekday peak periods only.
  • Route 8 has a new bus stop! Westbound 24 Avenue at McLaurin Street NW
  • Route 87 +2 new stop times added. 6:16 p.m. and 1:32 a.m. (from Applewood to Marlborough LRT station).
  • Route 91 new stop added! (stop number 9400) 16th Avenue at 19 Street N.W, heading west.
  • Route 135 has been granted +2 morning trips,  8:59 am and 9:14 am, going from Erinwoods Boulevard & 36 Street S.E. toward Marlborough Station.
  • Route 468 new midday service added! Runs every 30 minutes on weekdays.

 

Removed

  • Route 75 Riverbend
  • Route 181/182 School bus service is cancelled.
  • Route 697- 899 School Express bus service is cancelled.
  • Route 127 Stop #9479 at 52 Street & Maryvale Drive NE has been removed.

Bug Fixes

  • Route 36 has been modified to provide service on 20A Street SE.
  • Route 41 has been modified to provide service on 20A Street SE.
  • Route 90 route starting location has been changed to 9 Street & McDougal Road NE.
  • Route 135 trip times 6:14 pm and 6:29 pm have been extended from Erin Woods Boulevard to Marlborough Station.

Change Log

  • Route 1 has been slowed down on weekdays midday to run every 19 minutes, and every 25 minutes in the evening. Also 25 minutes during midday on weekends.
  • Route 3 evenings and weekends slowed slightly.
  • Route 4 leaving the 78 Avenue Terminal has been changed to 7:47am.
  • Route 7 changed to 18 minutes between buses weekdays.
  • Route 10 minor changes for balance.
  • Route 31 weekend service improved to Market Mall.
  • Route 35 adjusted to 30 mins between buses mornings/afternoons.
  • Route 37 early morning and late night changed to 30 minutes between buses.
  • Route 43 adjusted slightly to improve connections to other routes.
  • Route 46 has been given extra bus power between 6:15 pm and 9:00 pm.
  • Route 82 now has service on weekends every 30 minutes until 7:10 pm.
  • Route 88 trip times slightly adjusted to improve bus synergy.
  • Route 92 has seen all of it’s trip times slightly adjusted.
  • Route 96 minor changes.
  • Route 112 slowed to 32 minutes between buses for weekday midday service.
  • Route 120 complete overhaul of trip times for balance; morning/afternoon peak times changed to every 17 minutes.
  • Route 123 buses after 6 pm slowed to every 35 minutes.
  • Route 124 buses after 6 pm slowed to every 35 minutes.
  • Route 134 has seen it’s early morning buses slowed to every 17 minutes; late night every 35.
  • Route 148 has been slowed midday to run every 30 minutes.
  • MAX Orange North Crosstown weekday trip times slightly adjusted.
  • Route 161 midday service on weekdays has been increased to run every 30 minutes.
  • Route 439 slowed to run every 40 minutes on weekdays during midday.
  • Route 454 slowed to run every 40 minutes on weekdays during midday.
  • Routes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, 23, 28, 31 ,38 3,9 40, 43, 46, 49, 53, 62, 65, 74, 76, 81, 83, 87, 88, 90, 91, 92, 93, 96, 103, 105, 109, 111, 118, 129, 135, 138, 142, 152, 153, 158, 159, 167, 168, 174, 178, 302, Max Orange, Max Purple, 408, and 410 have been adjusted for mornings/afternoons on routes where a lot of kids use transit. They’ll be changed back during the fall when the kids are back.

How will this affect things? I dunno man I’m not a transit planner.
