Two time Juno-nominated alternative soul singer/songwriter, Nuela Charles, has teamed up with The Mustard Seed! The Edmonton local will be performing songs from her latest album and debuting her first original Christmas song this Thursday, Nov. 21 in Calgary.
Noted as “one to watch,” she has become an indie synch darling, landing 11 TV placements off of her debut album ‘Aware’. Opening for Jann Arden at the summertime Badlands Concert, Nuela is sure to give an unforgettable performance.
“Canadian sass-pot Nuela Charlies is cocked, locked and ready to be shot onto the world stage with soulful voice that may one day fill the Amy Winehouse-shaped holes in everyone’s hearts. Perhaps Adele’s days as undisputed number one are now finally numbered, if new single ‘Crumbling Down,’ premiered via The Fader, is anything to go by.” – Metro.co.uk
Opening for Nuela is award-winning folk & soul artist Kate Stevens. From Calgary, the artist is “a community builder, collaborator and supporter for youth musicians.”
With all proceeds going to The Mustard Seed, you can make a difference in the life of someone experiencing homelessness and poverty.
