Winsport Sport & Adventure Camps

Winsport Sport & Adventure Camps

Winsport: Calling All Adventurers!

This is the first year we’ve ventured into the world of summer day camps. Last year we tried out half days at Pedalheads and Mini loved it so much we booked a few different camps for her this summer. Up first for the summer we chose the Winsport Sport & Adventure Camp!

Winsport

We chose the 6/7 age group for Mini. Each age group has different activities and options to choose from. This is the base program that is available to both 6/7 groups:

  • Biking
  • High and Low Ropes Challenge Course
  • Activity Centre – Spiderweb, Climbing Wall, Eurobungy & Springfree Trampolines
  • Ball Hockey, Handball & Discover Lacrosse
  • Inline skating (delivered by Alien inline)
  • Tchoukball

Your Options

Further to that are two options to choose from that are in addition to the above activities:

Option A

  • Bouldering
  • Wilderness Games
  • Hike to Big Rock in Eastlands

Option B

  • Discover Ski Jumping
  • Discover Biathlon
  • Discover Luge

We chose option A as Mini is an avid hiker and bouldering sounded extra fun. She really enjoyed the Activity Centre the most because TRAMPOLINES but she was a big fan of the rope courses and the wide variety of activities and games each day.

We opted for the meal program so we didn’t have to prepare a lunch, it was served on site by the awesome chefs at Winsport (we provided morning and afternoon snacks). We also chose to not have images taken or shared of Mini. They respected that by putting a special bracelet on her so photographers knew not to take her picture. That detail was very much appreciated.

The counselors were all very nice and the groups were fairly small, less than 6 kids per counselor team and VATS of sunscreen was available for the kids to be slathered in. They were also given Winsport water bottles, which thrilled Mini. Oh to be 7 again!

There is FREE before and after camp care which is just freaking AWESOME for those of us who still have to work every day. The kids are provided with activities and sporting equipment to play with.

Getting to Winsport by Bus

There are two buses that run right to the camp drop off at Winsport so you don’t even have to worry about driving if you don’t want to! Routes 408/305. Also there is free parking if you do drive.

Winsport camps run all summer long so get the kids ready for some adventuring fun!!
