The Shooting Edge Video
Back in 2018 a buddy of mine and I attended this event called Scotch and Shoot, at The Shooting Edge. You get to shoot fully automatic weapons, then have Scotch and cigars and pig out on food. It was really fun and here’s some video of it.
Note: this is the ONLY night out of the year that fully automatic weapons are allowed to be used here.
A Hot Shave At Kent Of Inglewood
In addition to a hot shave, there’s all sorts of cool shit you can buy for dad there. Also, the barbers at Kent of Inglewood are from Cannibale and they’re legendary.

Take Dad On A Brewery Tour!
Pretty much every brewery offers a tour of their facilities to not only show you where their beer is made, but explain how it’s done. To be honest it can be a little over most peoples heads (including mine!) but it’s fascinating to learn and see. Some are free.
- Red Bison Brewery: $10 will get you a flight of their beer (4 x 5oz glasses), a tour of their brewery, and 10% off merch.
Red Bison is just one example. Take dad out to whatever brewery you like and get him on a tour, he’ll love it. Call ahead to your favourite brewery if you’re unsure.
Head Out To Granary Road
Granary Road is offering free dadmission with the purchase of two general admissions. Kids 2 and under are free. There’s a farmers market there too.
They have Llamas and goats and stuff. Check out their IG!
Take Him To The Hillhurst Sunnyside Flea Market
This is a weekly thing but Father’s Day happens to be falling on a Sunday this year, so why not head out and explore the flea market? Grab coffee after in Sunnyside.
Stroll Through The Inglewood Bird Sanctuary (Free!)
If you’ve never been, it’s a piece of land set aside for bird conservation. There’s grounds you can explore, plus an information center. There’s no cost and it’s a wonderful way to spend a few hours casually. To date, 270 species of birds, 21 species of mammals and 347 species of plants have been recorded at the Sanctuary and Nature Centre by members of the public, volunteers and staff.
